Zillertalbahn (railways)

All aboard the fun & adventure train!
The “Zillertalbahn” harkens back to a time when train rides were an adventure, and it‘s one of the most famous narrow-gauge railroads still in operation! A ride on the old steam train is a time-travelling adventure for the whole family! The smell of coal burning to fire the engine, its hisses and clatters, the vintage wooden passenger benches, the train guard blowing his whistle… it‘s a spectacular experience! A ride on our vintage train conjures long forgotten spirits from the dawn of the industrial age, making young & old childrens‘ eyes sparkle! Be sure to visit the newly designed buffet waggon feat. a bright interior with natural tones, traditional checked fabrics, and the pleasant smell of pine wood, reminiscent of the many mountain farmstead chalets throughout the region.

There‘s more, of course: modern railcars in half hour‘s interval and complementary public service & on-demand busses ensure a rapid connection to your destination.

· Musical breakfast toasting at the steam train
every Sunday, between June 5th and September 4th 2016 (except June 12th); reservations appreciated!

· Crime Story Reading on Rails
Schedule: June 29th and September 10th 2016, at the steam train from Mayrhofen to Jenbach.

· “Schall & Rauch” (roughly: “Smoke & Mirrors”) is the motto when Andi & Daniel perform for us on June 18th 2016, at the steam train!

Insider tips & tips of any other kind: Special Features:
