Mountain climbers and explorers of all kind are bound to fall in love with this region: be it casual hikes, alpine expeditions, treks from shelter to shelter, glacier explorations, steep rock wall climbing – it‘s all here, including some of the toughest mountaineering challenges in all of Europe! Approx. 1,000 km worth of hiking routes and 800 km worth of mountain bike tracks are located between 550 and 3,500 meters of altitude – crammed start to finish with raw, untamed nature! From lush mountain meadows through gushing waterfalls to breathtaking panoramic views on a total of 55 3km mountain peaks – your ascent is guaranteed to be rewarded lavishly!


The Zillertal is one of the most accessible and versatile alpine hiking destinations in the world, as it offers easy to intermediate valley hikes incl. optional lift support. The palette includes routes along the scenic valley floor as well as mountain trails at low-allergenic altitudes (i.e., upward of 1,500 m).
